Pie club member #001 gifts encouraging words
Poppa Luigi pens thoughts on a page.
My father, born in 1904, was old school. He would not suffer in silence when food items did not live up to their advertised content or his expectations.
A currant bun with few identifiable currants would be described loudly “They must have stood back and fired the currants in with a Shanghai.” Chicken consommé served to him at a restaurant
“as weak as dishwater” would bring forth “They must have waved a feather over it to call this chicken soup.”
So, I am very pleased to report after 4 deliveries of Pie Club product that I have had no reason to channel his words. All is well, or even excellent, in the world of Fat Bastards.
With thanks to the proprietors.
