Account Error Causes Chaos
Story written by Artificial Intelligence.
Christmas break was supposed to be a time of joy and cheer for the members of Pie Club, an online pie subscription service. Little did they know, however, an inconspicuous system sensitivity to capital letters would be their undoing. Issues began when customers tried logging into their accounts to make changes to their pie flavours. The system wouldn’t recognise any emails with capitals in them. It didn't take long for people to realise their accounts were inaccessible, and the panic to begin.
Without access to their accounts, members of Pie Club had no way to customise the flavours of their next box. Issues continued for some time until finally, pie lovers started to get restless, and more and more frustrated. It seemed the whole world was melting around them.
Pie Club customer support, Hayley claimed, "many customers were quite panicked, talking very quickly, and barely taking a breath in between words." Other customers reported to be sweating profusely - when scared or in a high-pressure situation, many people start to sweat more than usual, even if they're not doing any physical activity.
Finally, Fat Bastard programmers were able to fix the system error, and with the crisis averted Pie Club members were able to log in to their accounts and customise their next order.
